Let’s share some music

Acoustic folk, American, celtic

You’ll hear us before you see us

Bio

Alley Music is a group of musicians from Central Massachusetts who have come together from diverse backgrounds. Together they blend the sounds of Americana, contemporary and traditional folk, Celtic music and more into an audio tapestry for listeners of all ages.
It all began when Myra MacLeod, Mary Nihill Carfagna, and Alan Wolcott were performing in a downtown setting. Noticing that the music they were playing echoed off of the nearby brick walls Mary commented that “people will hear us before they see us “. “That’s Alley Music for you”, replied Myra. “Hey, that’d be a good band name” Alan remarked.
The band has grown in size since that day. Doug MacLeod added percussion, Ron Carlson brought his octave-mandolin and guitars , followed soon by Doug Feeney and his mandolin and banjo, blending with Myra on fiddle, Mary’s cello, weaving the sounds of many cultures together into a sonic melting pot of delight.
